FAQs

Can bike fits be billed under physiotherapy through my extended health insurance?

Yes, both Part 1 and Part 2 bike fit visits can typically be billed to your extended health insurance under physiotherapy. In Part 1, a physiotherapy initial assessment is conducted to analyze your unique body mechanics, guiding adjustments to fit the bike to your body. Then in the Part 2 subsequent physiotherapy visit, an on bike biomechanical assessment is performed which will further guide adjustments to the bike to optimize body mechanics while cycling.

Can you check my insurance plan to determine coverage?

Unfortunately no. Due to confidentiality, I won’t be able to access the details of your insurance coverage. You will need to log in to your online extended health provider or consult your HR department for details about your plan benefits.

Can I proceed directly to a Part 2 bike fit visit without booking a Part 1 bike fit assessment?

No, to ensure an accurate fit tailored to your body, a Part 1 bike must be completed first. Part 1 consists of an assessment to determine your body’s unique biomechanics in order to help guide the Part 2 bike fit.

I have two bikes needing fitting; can I bring both at once?

There is enough time allocated for one bike fitting per each Part 2 visit or during each Complete bike fit visit. For each additional bicycle, please schedule additional Part 2 visits.

Do I need to bring my bike for a Part 1 bike fit?

No, your bike is not required for the Part 1 bike fit. Just bring shorts and t-shirt for the Part 1 visit. Your bike will only be needed during the Part 2 session or during a Complete bike fit visit.

Can I schedule both Part 1 and Part 2 bike fits in a single day?

No, Part 1 and Part 2 must be booked on separate days to allow for proper billing. I can only able to direct bill your provider once per day.

Can you split the bike fitting into 3 visits for insurance purposes?

It would not be ideal to stop a bike fitting half way through a visit. The current 2 part assessment and bike fitting combination ensures the bike will be fitted and ready to ride following the visit.

Additionally, visits cannot be billed unless the services are rendered on the date.

A period of time has elapsed since my bike fit with you, what type of visit should I book if I want a re-fit?

If the Part 1 initial bike fit visit was completed within previous 9 months, please book another Part 2 visit.

Our bodies change over time. If more than 9 months have elapsed since your first Part 1 visit, it would be ideal start with a Part 1 visit again to ensure the new assessment data will be relevant for the next bike fit.

What is the difference between a Complete bike fit and Part 1/Part 2 bike fit?

A complete bike fit combines both part 1 and part 2 visits together into one efficient visit. You may decide to select this option if you only wish to come to the studio once only. However, if you wish to have 2 separate receipts, please opt to split your visits into part 1 and part 2 on separate days.
